Thank you to all the amazing filmmakers who entered this year! Our team faced the tough task of reviewing numerous outstanding entries. While it was incredibly challenging to select the best, many more miss out and we want to express our appreciation to all entrants. Your passion, dedication, and creativity is second to none.

Our spotlight categories each year offer special reduced entries fees. This year they are:
SPOTLIGHT COUNTRY: USA (30 mins or under)
SPOTLIGHT TECHNIQUE: 3D Project (30 mins or under)

SAE x VISION FEAST

We are super excited to announce that we are teaming up with SAE creative media institute in Auckland, NZ with an awesome new opportunity for secondary school kids across New Zealand.

Are you a young director or writer who wants to study film making at SAE? Well we want to see your awesome work. The Vision Feast Film Festival is proud to announce its new partnership with SAE Creative Media Institute to inspire the next generation of New Zealand’s FilmMakers.

There are 2 prizes up for grabs, totaling a combined worth of $6000. NZ Secondary School contestants can be in the running to win a scholarship worth $3,000 (per category) towards their SAE fees when they apply to study at SAE

  • Best New Zealand Secondary School Director Award - NZD $3,000 SAE Scholarship to be allocated to the Winner 

  • Best New Zealand Secondary School Writer Award - NZD $3,000 SAE Scholarship to be allocated to the Winner

Projects can be made specifically for the festival awards or they can be projects already created by the individual or team. Projects can be any genre or style, live action, drama, experimental, music videos, 3D, stop motion, 2d animation, web media etc; and yes the prize can be shared across a team. So get writing and shooting for your chance to win and have your work presented on the big screen at our 2023 Festival Event. Entries will be open from the end of July 2022 to April 2023 and our detailed terms of entry and whether you are eligible for these awards will be launched here on the 2nd of July 2022.
