Our 2020 Event

Thanks to all who came out to our first live event at Academy Cinemas in Auckland, New Zealand. For the last 3 seasons we have only been an online festival, now in our 4th season we have grown to hold our first event. Guy Montgomery hosted our 2020 event with laughs all around. The audience was blown away by the quality of work and rightly so. Congratulation to all our winning film makers and thanks to the audience for coming in support of local and global film making talent. We learned many things from the event and are looking forward to bringing you and even bigger feast in our 2021 season. Thanks to LK Creative for the event photography. Meet our 2020 presenter - Guy Montgomery

We are stoked to have Guy presenting to you our first ever live event. Here is a little info on him

Guy Montgomery is an award winning stand up comedian and improviser from New Zealand who, in spite of his best efforts, is still tragically best known as one half of the international smash podcast the Worst Idea of All Time.

A stand up comedian in the style of everyone you like, his surreal style of bemoaning the everyday has fast won him praise and awards in his native New Zealand and as far west of New Zealand as Australia. He is a regular fixture at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Sydney Comedy Festival and of course at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival where he won the coveted Billy T Award for his debut solo show in 2014. In the years since he has appeared on TV, the radio AND the internet, a genuine triple threat

“Intoxicating, enveloping and absurdly entertaining.”— NZ Herald
